Heritage Sinfonietta feat. Ruud Breuls

We’ll be performing again! In October, Heritage Sinfonietta is presenting a special collaboration with jazz trumpeter Ruud Breuls (Metropole Orkest, WDR Big Band). He will be bringing some of his jazz friends to the stage in Limburg, to play together with the orchestra.
I have been working in the organisation of this project, and will also be a part of the orchestra!

10th October – De Oranjerie, Roermond

Working as a producer!

What to do in times of a pandemic?
When it becomes difficult or even almost impossible to perform music for an audience, one has to look for other ways of staying busy and learning new things.
In August, I was lucky to be able to work as a producer for the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam! I was happy to be able to work behind the scenes and gain new work experience in the cultural field – because organising a music performance is actually quite a lot of work!

In this picture, you can see the Westerkerk in Amsterdam, in which I organised a concert series.

Kamerata Zuid & Memphis Maniacs, Metropole Orkest with Kovacs and Cory Wong

In november and december, I had the honour of playing with the Metropole Orkest and various great artists: funk guitarist Cory Wong and singer Cody Fry, and the Dutch singer Sharon Kovacs.

In March, Kamerata Zuid started the tour with mash-up band Memphis Maniacs. Unfortunately, due to the Corona virus most of the tour had to be cancelled.

Survey: beta blockers and performance anxiety

Dear musicians!
For my master research I have published a small survey about stage fright and the use of beta blockers by musicians (in English).
It is very important that I collect as many responses as possible, and each of your responses can make a difference for my research. I would be very, very grateful if you can help me by filling in my survey! It will take only a couple of minutes, and it is completely anonymous.

Fill in my survey here!
